AC/DC brings up the rear from U2 in rock sales

Billboard magazine has reported that Irish group U2 made more money than any other music act in the US in 2009.

The magazine listed Bruce Springsteen, Madonna and rockers AC/DC as other top money earners in the rock ranks.

According to Billboard figures, U2 made $109m from touring, record sales and other royalties from their mammoth world tour which is happening currently.

The 360 Degree tour is the most expensive ever staged.
